Safrina Latheef is a Qatar-based Indian mountaineer, banker, and baker who made history in May 2025 as the first woman from Kerala and the first Indian expatriate woman in Qatar to summit Mount Everest. Originally from Kannur, Kerala, Safrina has lived in Doha since 2001, balancing a professional career in finance with her creative pursuits as a cake artist. A self-described “jack of all trades,” she has climbed peaks including Kilimanjaro, Aconcagua, and Elbrus, proving that passion and perseverance can push boundaries at any stage of life.
